Deep ruby in color, the wine is layered with ripe, dark fruits; black cherry, black plum, blackberry, currant, and cassis, supported with spice notes of clove and vanilla.
The intensity of aromas expands with time in the glass, unfolding flavors of violet, licorice, Kalamata olive, white pepper, and herbs that resemble thyme and rosemary.
The palate confirms the host of dark fruits along with dried cranberry and tart red cherry.
The fine, persistent, and beautifully integrated tannins combine with scents of graphite, mushroom powder, pu’erh tea, and black currant leaf, adding to the sense of its texture.
The finish is long and lingers.
Although we release the wine when it is ready to drink, the complex dark fruit, spice, and earthy notes suggest that tertiary flavors, such as forest floor and cigar box, will develop over time. This wine will cellar for ten to 15 years.
