The wine greets you with aromas of fresh strawberry, red cherry, plum, and green apple. It is supported with background notes of breakfast pastries, faint smoke, and white pepper.
The wine is dry with refreshing acidity. These aromas evolve on the palate accompanied by a subtle textural component reminiscent of the pith of a ripe grapefruit. This is due in part to the varietal’s character and the wine’s brief time in neutral French oak barrel.
Medium bodied, the wine has a fresh and well defined finish. The 2016 Rosé is an elegant companion to a wide variety of cuisines and dishes.
Source
Our fruit is sourced from a single vineyard off Big Ranch Road in the Oak Knoll appellation. Cooler than most Napa Valley regions due to proximity to the San Pablo bay, the soil on the valley floor has been shaped over millions of years by deposits from the nearby Napa River. With clay over a rock base layer, red grapes sourced from these soils tend to be less tannic, perfect for our rosé.
