NAPA, Calif. (May 15, 2025) – At Gentleman Farmer Bungalow, Joey and Jeff welcomed us with the kind of warmth usually reserved for family coming home after a long journey. From the very first smile to the final sip, it felt like we were part of something deeply personal, soulful, and unforgettable.

Kelly @jkellyecarter of @napavalleynoir joined me, and together we experienced an afternoon unlike any other. Their unique concept? Jeff and Joey themselves host you—Jeff prepares each exquisite dish in their stunning open kitchen , while Joey offers heartfelt hospitality and pours the wines they so proudly craft. 

And what wines they are!  @gentlemanfarmerwines, created with finesse and intention by winemaker Jérôme Chéry, are structured, elegant, and built to age beautifully. Inspired by Bordeaux  and brought to life in Napa , they speak with both grace and depth.

I especially loved their Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon blend (80% Merlot / 20% Cab)—velvety, complex, and utterly memorable. 

The ambiance? Straight out of a dream. Their lovingly restored 1926 Craftsman home is rich in story—from vintage china and family heirloom silverware  to Joey’s mother’s cherished cuckoo clock and old family photos. Every detail has a soul.

But what truly lingers is their storytelling. Every dish, every wine, every moment has a memory behind it—an emotion, a journey, a legacy. This is not just a tasting—it’s an invitation to feel, connect, and savor.
